DRY/IRRITATED SKIN
Gently press and massage the fondant into your horse's skin with slow sweeping motions, focusing your application on areas that are particularly dry.
After thoroughly cleansing the target area with an anti-bacterial wash, apply Collagen & Kelp liberally to the skin separating the hair as you go to achieve the best skin application.
MINOR CUTS & RUBS
Gently press and sweep the fondant onto the area. A little massage is okay but you want to create a thin, barrier-like, layer.
RUB PREVENTION
Gently press and massage the fondant onto any areas of the body that you feel are prone to rubs. This will help to hydrate the area and defuse friction.
PATCH TEST
Even though we create all our formulas to be allergen-free and suitable for even the most sensitive of skins, 'anything' can be sensitive/allergic to 'anything' so it's always a good idea to patch test on healthy skin 24hrs before using anything new on your horse.

KEY INGREDIENTS
Collagen: The most abundant protein in the body is collagen. Considered the building block of new skin cells.
Cocoa Seed Butter: The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over the skin to hold in moisture. Cocoa butter is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These substances may protect against damage from the sun's harmful UV rays.
Shea Butter: High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal choice for hydrating and renewing the skin. It can also help to fade scars.
Sea Kelp: Seaweed encompasses a broad range of key vitamins including folate, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, and C. In fact, seaweed is almost unique in that it is one of the few plant sources of vitamin B12.

CAN I USE THIS ON ALL MINOR WOUNDS?
We certainly do, and it's a must-have for all of our client's grooming bags!
Obviously, you will need to use your own judgement on whether your horse is in need of veterinary attention but for most minor wounds and abrasions, COLLAGEN & KELP will help to protect from environmental aggressors and bacteria whilst hydrating the skin making it as comfortable as possible for your horse.
CAN I USE THIS ON SPUR & RUG RUBS?
Yes, definitely! Not only will COLLAGEN & KELP help any abrasions, but it will also help to prevent them too. Healthy, hydrated skin is less reactive and therefore, much less likely to rub in the first place.

MY HORSE HAS HAD SURGERY, CAN I USE COLLAGEN & KELP ON THE WOUND?
We recommend using COLLAGEN & KELP after you have followed and completed, all of your veterinary advice. Usually, this is after any stitches have been removed and/or any steroid cream has been finished.
