Clients usually find that after a few 'loading doses' they only need to apply Beautify Oil on manes and tails once or twice per week as the results last and also become accumulative.

On Dry Hair: Pump a 10p size of oil into the palm of your hands. Press hands together to distribute and then gently begin to comb through your horse's mane/tail using your fingers to detangle as you go. Repeat if necessary.

On Wet Hair: For a more intensive mane and tail treatment, after shampooing apply a 50p size of oil into the palm of your hands. Press hands together to distribute and then gently begin to comb through your horse's mane/tail using your fingers to detangle as you go. Beautify Oil omits the need for conditioner. Leave mane and tail to dry naturally, then enjoy the immense shine and tangle-free combing. Please note that as Beautify Oil is super concentrated, you only need to use a very small amount.

Add 2 pumps of Beautify Oil into your bucket (approx. 1 litre) of hot water. Put on your clean HOT CLOTH Gloves and immerse them into the bucket, then wring out well. You want them steamy and damp, not hot and dripping wet.

Using your gloved hands, work over the coat in small sections at a time, gently massaging back and forth to lift dirt, grease and loose hair. Work both with and against the natural lay of the hair to ensure a thorough cleanse. Once the area is clean, finish by smoothing the coat in the direction of hair growth.

Even though we create all our formulas to be allergen-free and suitable for even the most sensitive skin, anything can be sensitive or allergic to anything. We therefore always recommend patch testing on healthy skin 24 hours before carrying out a full HOT CLOTH treatment.

As the seasons change, so does your horse's coat. This can cause dry skin, which leads to dry hair, which leads to hair rubs, which eventually leads to bald patches. To avoid this, when you see (or feel) dry patches occurring on your horse, be proactive and hydrate it with Beautify Oil. Apply a very small pump into the palms of your hands and apply directly over your horse's coat in the direction of the hair growth. Not only will this hydrate but it will also defuse any friction between rugs or other items.

WHY IS SILICONE FREE SO IMPORTANT?

Silicones are hydrophobic which means they repel water. When it does this in hair, the very precious moisture content of just 3% is reduced and the protein bonds that make up 97% of hair become less stable and more liable to break. In a nutshell, those old-school mane, tail and coat sprays that we have all used since pony camp simply coat your horse in silicones which yes, does make them look shiny, and yes, it does detangle their hair BUT this is short-lived and it’s actually damaging your horse’s mane, tail & coat!! Dry, fragile and weak hair leads to breakages, rubs, bald patches, and even the loss of manes & tails completely! Just say NO ... and get NEIGHKED!

HOW LONG WILL THIS BOTTLE LAST ME?

Obviously, it depends on usage, as we know it can be used for so many different equine beauty tasks. However, on average if we allocate one bottle per horse using it on its mane and tail twice per week and then as a hot cloth oil 4-5 times per week, we would expect the bottle to last approximately 8 weeks.

WILL IT PREVENT MY HORSE FROM GETTING RUG RUBS ON HIS/HER MANE AND TAIL?

YES! Healthy, strong hair does not break and rub away! We have created this problem for our horses, not by choosing to put rugs on them, but by choosing to use harsh, drying products on them such as silicone sprays. These have made their hair strands so brittle and weak that unfortunately, rug rubs are so common. But there’s no need to fear as this damage can be reversed.
