From Bald & Sore to Back in Work: Rodney's 4-Week Skin Recovery

When Rodney suffered a sudden and severe skin reaction, he lost huge patches of hair and was left with damaged, fragile skin.

His vets were unable to establish what had caused the reaction. Steroids helped bring the initial flare-up under control, but Rodney's skin and coat were left needing some serious support.

That's when his owner, Nikki Watts, introduced NEIGHKED SKIN TONIC.

Treatment plan

SKIN TONIC was added to Rodney's feed every day to support his skin and coat from within.

But Nikki didn't stop there.

She also introduced regular hot clothing using BEAUTIFY OIL, helping to nourish and condition Rodney's skin and coat externally.

Initially, Rodney was hot clothed every day. As his skin improved, this was reduced to every other day and after exercise.

So his routine was incredibly simple:

Every day: SKIN TONIC in his feed
Externally: BEAUTIFY hot clothing, initially daily and then every other day/after exercise

RESULTS

Just four weeks later, Nikki told us:
“After 4 weeks, we’re pretty much back to normal now, and back in work finally after 4 months off.”

She described the difference as significant and credited the routine with helping Rodney through his recovery.

Alongside the improvement in his skin, Rodney's results included visible hair regrowth, improved coat condition and colour, dapples and healthier-looking skin.

WHY COMBINE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL SKIN SUPPORT?

Healthy hair starts with healthy skin. That's why Rodney's routine approached his skin from both directions.

SKIN TONIC provided daily nutritional support from within, while BEAUTIFY hot clothing formed part of his external skin and coat routine.

This can be particularly useful when a horse's skin has been through a difficult period and the goal isn't simply to make the coat look better, but to support the condition of the skin underneath it too.
