INSTRUCTIONS

Each horse will need a different amount of Buck-Off to find its Perfect Zen.

We recommend that you begin with the Starting Feeding Rate for the first 7 days and increase to the Secondary Feeding Rate if more effect is needed.

It is essential that you split the amounts below between morning and evening Feeds. For example, on a 30ml Feeding Rate, you would give your horse 15ml in the morning feed and 15ml in the evening feed.

STARTING FEEDING RATE

Pony : 10ml per day.
Pony / Small Horse : 20ml per day.
Horse / Large Horse : 30ml per day.

SECONDARY FEEDING RATE

Pony : 20ml per day.
Pony / Small Horse : 30ml per day.
Horse / Large Horse : 40ml per day.

Shake well before each use. Mix thoroughly with feed and split between meals where possible. Introduce to feed slowly. Do not exceed the recommended intake.

In stressful conditions, BUCK OFF (max 40ml) can be syringed administered.

Example: 30 minutes before travelling or competing.

Complementary feeding stuff for horses, ponies and donkeys. Does not contravenewith the Rules of Racing, UK National Federation Rules of Competition, or FEI rules.

WHY IS BUCK OFF A LIQUID?

A liquid form is readily assimilated and therefore is quickly absorbed in the tissues of your horse’s mouth and throat, providing a calming effect in as little as 30 minutes. Powdered or pill forms must go through the entire equine digestive tract, breaking down the delicate molecules and taking far longer for any remaining available active ingredients to reach your horse's bloodstream.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Withania Somnifera: Ashwagandha root (Withania somnifera) is an excellent addition to your horse's menu! It's an adaptogenic herb, meaning that if you are catatonic it awakens you, or if you are overly anxious it calms you, essentially providing balance. Ashwagandha's function is to provide protection to the nervous system.

Ashwagandhai is proven to have anti-stress, antioxidant, adaptogenic, and beneficial endocrinological activities. By offering Ashwagandha, you may be able to ease your horse's distress.

Passiflora: Widely acknowledged as a key ingredient for anxiety, tension and irritability, passionflower can be of benefit to horses who are generally nervous and apprehensive as well as those who are distressed and restless due to a current illness or environment.

Passion Flower has also been found to be very beneficial when used in conjunction with other herbs to assist with bad behaviour in mares.

Lemon Balm: Lemon Balm Extract (Melissa officinalis) - A herb known for its useful effects on anxiety, helping to calm horses (and people and dogs) naturally.
Lemon Balm can help address all states of anxiety. Especially beneficial to those that are learning to cope with training, competition and new environments.
It has a soothing effect on the central nervous system and also the gastrointestinal tract.

L-Theanine: L-Theanine is a natural extract from green and black tea , used to promote a happy, calm and relaxing state.

FULL INGREDIENTS

Active Ingredients Per 30ml (500Kg Horse Feeding Rate): Passiflora incarnata (Passiflora) extract 2,057mg, Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha) extract 1,071mg , Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm) extract 1,029mg, L-Theanine 429mg.

LIQUID VS POWDERS

 

Based on clinical studies, not all the vitamins that you take are absorbed. It is the same for horses too, a lot of the vitamins we feed them end up going to your muck heap!

Liquid vitamins show an absorption rate of 98% while powders/capsules/solids can range from only 3 to 30%.

The National Advisory Board states that 100mg consumed in a solid form (tablet/capsule/powder) translates into a concentrate of only 8.3mg or 8.3% in the blood. Not only are liquids more efficiently absorbed, but they are also absorbed faster as they're readily assimilated.
