HOW TO HOT CLOTH YOUR HORSE
The complete guide to achieving healthier skin, a cleaner coat and incredible natural shine.

WHY HOT CLOTH?
Unlike simply brushing the surface, hot clothing helps remove dirt, grease and dead skin from beneath the coat while allowing your grooming oil to reach the skin.

STEP 1 – PREPARE YOUR BUCKET
➡ Brush away any heavy mud first.
➡ Fill a bucket with approximately 1 litre of water.
➡ The water should be as hot as you can comfortably tolerate, as it cools quickly once wrung out.
➡ Add 2–3 pumps of BEAUTIFY Oil and mix well.

STEP 2 – WRING YOUR GLOVES CORRECTLY
➡ Soak your Hot Cloth Gloves.
➡ Then wring them out thoroughly.
➡ You want them to be “hot & steamy”, not dripping wet.
This isn’t a bath. Your horse should never become soaked.
This means you can hot cloth all year round – even if they’re going straight back into a rug or back out to the field.

STEP 3 – TIME TO HOT CLOTH
Using firm pressure, work against the direction of the hair using your fingers like a curry comb.
Don’t be afraid to use a little elbow grease.
Work over every part of the horse.
As the gloves cool, simply re-soak and wring them out again.
The aim is to lift dirt and grease from beneath the coat while coating the skin and hair with the BEAUTIFY Oil water.

STEP 4 – BONDING SPA TIME
One of the biggest benefits of hot clothing is that you’re using your hands – not just brushes.
You’ll quickly become familiar with every inch of your horse.
That means you’re more likely to notice:
New lumps
Heat or swelling
Small cuts or scratches
Insect bites
Areas of sensitivity
Often you feel them way before you’d spot them visually.

STEP 5 – FINISH FOR HEALTH & SHINE
Once you’ve completed the whole horse:
➡ Smooth the coat back down in the direction it naturally grows.
➡ Don’t forget the face, legs and awkward areas.
➡ Use the remaining warm water to wipe mud from around the hooves if needed.
Your horse should feel clean, warm and only lightly damp—not wet.
